I guess that you were curious enough..

If, like me, you're curious about the author of a website then you'll probably click in their 'About' page. After all, it's been put there for a reason and most of us are a bit nosey. Well I am :)

So, what can I tell you about me that's even the slightest bit interesting?

You already know my name.. That's right, It's Andy although my Mother would rather I be called Andrew because that's what I was christened.

Here's a photo of me

Here's some other info about me.

I'm in my 60s and I was fortunate to be able to take early retirement a few years ago. Before I retired, I ran a home computer repair business from my home. It was interesting work and I got to meet some very nice people. I was shocked at how many people DO NOT back up the important documents and photos that they have on their computers. Before that I'd had various jobs, none of which were very interesting, that paid the mortgage.

Wildlife

I'm lucky enough to live in quite a rural county in the south of England. There is some fabulous scenery close by and I've become a bit of a bird spotter in my old age. It's certainly not unusual to see Canada Geese, Swans, Egrets and even the occasional Heron. Oh, and there are some Muntjac Deer living close by, as well.

Cancer

This year I was unfortunate to be diagnosed with bladder cancer. One morning I noticed that I had some blood in my urine, not much and it cleared up by lunchtime. I mentioned it to my good lady who insisted that I make an appointment to see my doctor. He referred me to the Urology Centre at my local hospital and they diagnosed a tumour.

I've had a procedure to remove it and, as of today (13th October 2026), have had my fifth treatment to the bladder of an anti-cancer chemotherapy drug. If you ever spot blood in your pee, please get it checked out.

Web Design

This is something that really interests me but I don't have much of an eye for good design. Oh well.

So there you are, a little about me and what interests me.

Thanks
